Ogaan Studios at Dhan Mill reimagines an industrial mill as an immersive lifestyle complex. Preserving the mill’s raw character while introducing a new sense of scale, the design frames retail as performance. Stores are conceived as “box theaters,” arranged around soaring double-height volumes animated by large artworks and a central stage-like setting.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Above, the mezzanine unfolds as an open-format curated fashion market, offering a contrasting experience; fluid, expansive, and communal. This duality between enclosure and openness allows the architecture to support both intimacy and spectacle, permanence and change.
The ground floor is organised as a constellation of five individually curated design studios, each conceived as a discrete spatial environment; box theatres within the larger shell. These contained volumes allow each designer’s identity to emerge distinctly, while collectively contributing to a larger narrative of Indian fashion and craft.
The ensemble includes a 30-seater Caara café, pop-up spaces, and studios, together creating an environment that is both cultural and commercial; a place to shop, gather, and experience.
