layers of outdoor living: verandah's, decks, terraces

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Casa Belo Morjim is a cluster of eight villas designed as a compact coastal community. Three-bedroom layouts balance intimacy with openness, integrating verandahs and terraces for sea breezes and light. A central pedestrian pathway threads the row-house format, encouraging community encounters while maintaining privacy. Whitewashed planes, tiled roofs, and timber details evoke Mediterranean traditions, interpreted with a contemporary clarity suited to Goa.

Located near Goa’s northern shoreline, Casa Belo Morjim reimagines the intimacy of Mediterranean coastal towns for a modern audience. The development consists of eight villas in a row-house format, unified by a pedestrian pathway that acts as a communal spine. This central walkway creates opportunities for chance encounters and shared life while giving each villa a private retreat.

Each three-bedroom home is planned around verandahs, shaded decks, and terraces, blurring inside and outside. The architecture balances compact efficiency with generosity of light and air. Whitewashed surfaces, tiled roofs, and timber accents reference coastal typologies without resorting to imitation—tradition is translated into a refined, contemporary language.

Casa Belo Morjim is at once a private home and a connected community: an ensemble designed for the rhythms of life by the sea.
